Hello new PR! Keeping in mind my limited experience in running races as a backdrop for this next statement-
this is what local races are supposed to be like and be about. Much like my experience last fall with the Sailfish Striders Halloween Half Marathon, this race was well organized, supported a great cause and highlighted a beautiful area of South Florida.

North Palm Beach Country Club Course |
The course for the Village of North Palm Beach-sponsored race winds through a lovely residential neighborhood and then moves to the golf course. Yes, that's right- the golf course. The Village-owned golf club runs alongside the intracoastal waterway and this 10k course snakes up and down the greens, past the water and beautiful homes. While running on the grass and unexpected "hills" (hills in south florida deserve quotation marks- they are hard to find, quite limited and not very hilly) presented a bit of a challenge, it was an enjoyable one.
A great course coupled with well-trained volunteers and a small field made this race a great way to get in 6 mile run on a Saturday morning. For me this has become a must do race and I so look forward to running it again next year.
